Numbers 6:24-26 NKJV

[24] “The LORD bless you and keep you; [25] The LORD make His face shine upon you, And be gracious to you; [26] The LORD lift up His countenance upon you, And give you peace.”’

As I have revisited this passage again, a new and fresh insight came to me which I love to share with you. The word Bless, from the Hebrew word Barak, is a multi-faceted word. It can be defined in so many ways and one meaning of the word is… to kneel down.

Can you imagine, the Sovereign God, the maker of all things, would be kneeling down to present you a gift of blessing? Kneeling down as to show respect and wanting you to receive His blessing. What a thought huh! Very motivating, very uplifting and very humbling!

So, if you think that you desperately need His blessing, it’s the other way around, because God is the one who eagerly wants to dispense His enormous gifts upon you.

God bless you,
