12 Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. 13 Butrejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed.
However, we can have confidence in troubled times by remembering these simple biblical truths.
A. God controls our circumstances.
The Lord allows difficulty in our lives. Why? One reason is to teach us dependence on Him.
B. God will meet our needs.
The Lord provides His grace sufficiently for all our needs.
C. God is always with us.
The Lord promises to be with us at all times, although we may not feel His presence and loving care. If you have received Jesus Christ as your personal Savior, His Spirit lives within you.
And that’s the confidence we have through the tough times we face!
Confident in Christ,
Ptr. Gary Yalung
