Disappointments happen to everyone. They break our heart, especially when our family is involved. In such situations, instead of trusting God, we sometimes feel lost, insecure and weak. But come to think of it, has God failed us when we entrust our life to Him?
When I was young Christian, I tried to share my faith to my parents, but they consistently rejected it. They could not buy the idea of changing the “tradition” that they had been used to for generations. They hated us whenever we missed family gatherings and religious feast on Sundays because we had to minister at the church. My heart was broken and my children felt the same, until I came across this verse:
Psalms 34:18 (NKJV)
18 “The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, And saves such as have a contrite spirit.”
Brothers and sisters, the Lord is always beside His children at all times. Your obedience to Him would never let you down.
