For the past three weeks, I have witnessed three funerals and conducted two services: one for my brother-in-law and one for our church member. They reminded me of how short life is. Here today and gone tomorrow. Death finds its way. It will come because it is appointed by God.

As I shared some comforting words to the bereaved families, I quoted the scriptures from 1 Thessalonians 4:16-18, 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.”

Physical death may come in our lifetime or it may no longer come because of the “rapture” of the church (v. 17 of the above text). The question is, are we ready for our departure here on earth?

It is said that the greatest tragedy in life is not death but living a life without a purpose!

Friends, as you are still alive physically, discover the life with a purpose! This will make you ready for any eventualities in life. That life is found in no other but in JESUS CHRIST ALONE! As you put your trust in Him, you are assured of eternal life.

Romans 6:23 says, “For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal LIFE through JESUS CHRIST our Lord.”

Purposely reminding,
