ptrlynardBefore his death, David had “with all his might” provided materials in great abundance for the building of God’s temple. In 1 Chronicles 22:14 David said: “I have worked hard to provide materials for building the Temple of the Lord—nearly 4,000 tons of gold, 40,000 tons of silver, and so much iron and bronze that it cannot be weighed. I have also gathered timber and stone for the walls, though you may need to add more. Why did King David provide these expensive materials? For one reason, David wanted to give God his excellent service.

EXCELLENT service is an expression of our LOVE for our God because it is giving honor and glory to His name.

If we truly want to give EXCELLENT service to God, we should not give Him what is “left over” but the best of what we have – our talents, strength, time, material possessions and the best resources for Him.

“Whatever we do whether we eat or drink, do it all for the glory of God (1 Corinthians 10:31). Serve with Excellence!

At His service,
