The key to running (at any speed) is to practice proper running technique. That means, keeping the upper body tall yet relaxed, striking the ground with the mid-foot landing under the hip, and swinging the arms forward and back (not side to side!) at low 90-degree angles. In fact, I had to research this when I joined the Color Fun Run last week. And guess what? Good running technique sustained me up to the finish line, ahead of others my age.
That experience made me realize the technique that sustains every believer in finishing strong in the race of life.
22 Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.
If we cast all our petitions and worries, and cares to God in prayer and supplication, and believe that He will sustain us, surely we are running ahead for victory and will never be shaken.
Happy running, everyone!
