In our days, people who stand on the right things are like an endangered species. But for us Christians, it must be our lifestyle to do what is right. The question is how do we do what is right? To do what is right, we need to discipline ourselves.
Discipline is not easy to do. Most of the time, we need to do the things that we don’t want to do. But if we do this, we will experience good things in our lives. To do what is right, we need first to discipline our thinking. Second, we need to discipline our emotions. People have two choices when it comes to their emotions: they can master their emotions or be mastered by them. And the last thing is, we need todiscipline our actions. Apostle Paul reminded us in Philippians 4:8 he said: Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable–if anything is excellent or praiseworthy–think about such things.
