Lamentation 3:22 Through the LORD’S mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not.

If every sin that we commit will receive a punishment, no one will be saved. Everyone will be convicted and will perish. As far as punishment of sin is concerned, Saudi Arabia is one of the strictest countries I know. I was there to work for many years and I have seen how authorities implement justice when people violate laws. We have heard in the international news how many people have been beheaded because they violated the Saudi laws. Once the verdict has been declared, the brutal punishment will be implemented. That is how Saudi serves justice, through merciless punishment.

But the Lord is a merciful God. He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor punish us according to our iniquities. He does not keep records of our wrong. Instead, He gives us many second chances because He is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in mercy. So, let us serve God reverently.
