Typhoon Ruby is now gone and so the hopes and dreams of many who are usually victimized by calamities that come every December.
Has life ever been so difficult that all you can think about is escaping?
David felt like that one day. That’s why he wrote:
Fear and trembling overwhelm me, and I can’t stop shaking, Oh, that I had wings like a dove; then I would fly away and rest! I would fly far away to the quiet of the wilderness. How quickly I would escape… (Psalm 55:5-8)
Let’s be honest. This is a natural feeling. All of us have felt like getting away, just packing our bags and saying, “I’ve had enough! I can’t take it anymore! I’m going away.”
Why does God allow you to go through windy storms and tempests?
God allows trials to make you grow and mature, and become like His Son. The next time you go through difficulties, resist the pressure to run away and let God use the storm to accomplish His purposes.
Have a Christ-centered Christmas.
