Good morning to all! I am Lolita Samonte, also known as ‘Mamang’ in our family. I stand here to testify about my granddaughter. Last November 2018, God blessed her to give birth to twin babies. Their names are Kanna Erika and Hanna Seirin. One of the newborn babies, Kanna Ericka got hospitalized after two weeks. The doctor diagnosed the baby having “Pertussis” a respiratory illness commonly known as whooping cough(This is a very contagious disease caused by a type of bacteria called Bordetella pertussis.) This sickness makes our baby feel exhausted because she would cough and vomit continuously until she would turn blue and would gasp for breath.
I have managed to attend to our ExCEL Saturday service. I asked the Lord to heal my great granddaughter. As a grandparent, I know that it’s hard to watch Kanna suffering from a disease, knowing that she’s just an infant. It’s not easy for me to look at a child battling with a potentially fatal disease far before they even take their first step into the new world.
One day, I came to church and requested for a prayer from a pastor. God is good because I saw a pastor going in my direction. I approached him and told him my prayer request. He asked me if I am willing to testify when God heal my great grand daughter. I said yes not only to the pastor but to God who has promised me to heal her.
That night after we prayed, Kanna’s mother called me. She told me that her baby is no longer vomiting. Then, she was finally discharged from the hospital. As such, I am so thankful to the Lord! He is indeed our Jehovah Rapha-the Lord who heals. I thank God because He cares and loves His children that He truly hears and answers our prayers.
