And Moses said to the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. For the Egyptians whom you see today, you shall see again no more forever.The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace.” When the Hebrew people went out of Egypt, God was with them. But when they were facing the Red Sea they thought of coming back. People started to be afraid and were about to go back and embrace the old life of slavery again.” (Exodus 14:13-14 NKJV)
But the Lord had greater plans for His people. Thanks to this leader, Moses, who trusted the Lord and encouraged the Hebrew people to “stand still and see the salvation of the Lord.” These people were the ones who saw with their own eyes on how the sea was divided by God and they were able to pass through a dry land.
Encouragement is what we need today. As we experience bad situations, we need to know that God is in full control. Everything that happens is not an accident. We need to trust God and obey His will. Thus, we will see how the Lord will carry us through in every given situation.
