I am Carina Podaca, I have been married for almost 32 years now. My husband, Ramero Podaca, got involved in a tragic accident in September 2004. Due to the trauma, we rushed him to the hospital because a blood clot formed in his brain. The doctor told us that his life was in danger and that he may die within 72 hours. At that time, I asked the Lord to extend Ramero’s life. I consistently prayed, fasted for three weeks straight and promised that I will serve Him with my life. Suddenly, I felt something strange while praying, I believed that the Holy Spirit was touching me at that very moment. On his second consultation, his CAT scan result was miraculously clear from blood clot. “Thank God!”, I cried out.
Recently, another struggle came in our lives. He was diagnosed with heart failure and we were informed that his heart was only doing 20% of its function. From that point on, the doctor already declared his prognosis but God never failed us. He continuously gives him strength. My husband now received his promotion and becomes the president of Association of Barangay Captain despite his health condition. Now, I am serving the Lord thru the Ushering Ministry and remains steadfast in my promise to Him.
I want to thank all our pastors for inspiring and giving us hope through preaching the Word of God.
I encourage everyone to be engaged in a ministry now. Let the Lord use you in His Kingdom. Do not wait for the enemy to attack you first before you realize that God is waiting for your answer to His calling.
