Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come and the years approach when you will say, “I find no pleasure in them” – Ecclesiastes 12:1
The coming of the new year entails a grand and joyous celebration in which the whole world participates. People have their own way of ensuring that they have a meaningful new year as they celebrate.
We often hear people wishing to have a blessed life. The sad thing, though, is that obtaining a blessed life for them is just a matter of luck as they depend on the creation rather than the Creator who created all things.
The new year celebration is reminding all of us, as we wish for a blessed life, that we also need to live responsibly. As the years pass by, before the miseries of the old age come, let us serve God reverently. While we have our strength, let us exalt His praise through the works of our hands. Let the fruitful works of our lives define our Christ-centered purpose. For He is the Creator and everyone owes Him his life.
May we have a blessed life and a Christ-centered new year.
