“It’s the most wonderful time of the year,” as the lyrics of the famous song goes by. In one way or another has this song caused us to ask the question, what if it isn’t the most wonderful time for us? Some people don’t have the extra money to buy gifts since their budget is too tight. Others are worried knowing that they will not be able to come home and be with their family on Christmas day.
Yet, Christmas is truly a season of great joy. let us be reminded that this is the time of God showing His great love for us. God sent His Son into the world to be born. Nothing could ever match the gift God has given us in His Son, which was stated by Paul to the church at Corinth, “Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift!” (2 Corinthians 9:15). This is the gift that we celebrate at Christmas; for Christ Himself is truly what matters most.
Christ in our Christmas means His compassionate presence and hope for the hurting. While others see it as the most wonderful time, we commemorate it as the most meaningful time of the year because Jesus came to give us life.
Wishing you a joyous Christmas knowing that God loves you and wants to be with you.
Have a blessed years ahead,
