I started as a drummer in the early days of my ministry. One day, my band leader uttered a very “encouraging” word to me and he said, “You can never be a good drummer.” For a very enthusiastic guy like me who just wanted to serve God, by faithfully assembling and dismantling the drum set in the ministry area on any given day, words like those hurt me so much.

After a few more tries, I finally gave up my drum ministry, and little did I know that God will open the door that would lead me to the pulpit ministry instead.

Matthew 16:23 NKJV

[23] But He turned and said to Peter, “Get behind Me, Satan! You are an offense to Me, for you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men.”

These words of Jesus to Peter didn’t bring the latter down, but catapulted Peter in a place of great ministry.

Who hurt you today? Please remember him for you might thank him in the future.

Loving you much,
