Christmas is a great privilege to imitate what Jesus did for us in this world. He came as a gift. He gave His own life for all mankind as payment for our sins. In the same way, it is an opportunity for us to give something to others. God has already blessed us with so many things and the only way to be more fruitful is to become a channel of blessing.
Paul said in Acts 20:35 (NIV):
“In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
A person who believes in Jesus Christ has the heaven’s riches. This season, let us make a commitment to be a channel of blessing in whatever way we can. You can bless someone with gifts, with prayer, or with encouragement. But most of all, God honors a cheerful giver.
