Upon entering freshman in college, I thought I could easily pass the academic exams by taking it easy. But when I saw my new classmates from different schools and provinces striving hard in every class, I thought to myself, “I will be left far behind if I won’t study hard.”

There are times in our Christian life when we tend to relax and take it slow in studying God’s Word. We are no longer doing what we used to do. We may be running the race without a sword. How could we win each battle without a weapon?

This is how Paul reminded the believers in his letter:

Ephesians 6:17 (NKJV)

17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God;

Remember, different situations and people can keep us away from the right path, but if we apply God’s Word in our life, victory is waiting at our doorstep.

So everybody… move with your sword!
