Psalm 34:10 says, “Even strong young lions sometimes go hungry, but those who trust in the Lord may not lack any good thing.”

The lion is known as the “king of the jungle” and is considered as a powerful animal in the forest. It attacks so quickly that the victim does not get any time to protect itself. But being powerful like a lion in this world and putting our trust in the possessions, position and prestige, is not   a guarantee that we will not want. Still, the things of this world are not all we need. We can have all we need in the world, and yet remain empty and lifeless.

What matters is not how much we possess, but our trust in the One who possesses us. God will not withhold good things from those who trust Him.

The only One we can truly lean on that will energize, fill and sustain us is God. With God as our constant companion and sustenance, we can be content, even when things of this world are withheld. Remember, our help is from the LORD, who made heaven and earth. Psalm 124:8.
