Sometimes, we are at our wit’s end. We have nowhere else to go and have no one to turn to. In times like this, what are we supposed to do?
In 1 Kings 17:8-16, we can learn from the most difficult time in Elijah’s life wherein he was experiencing extreme famine while he was being hunted by his enemies. He has nowhere to go and he has no one to turn to. Nonetheless, Elijah obeyed God’s command. He went to the brook that has dried up and to a widow who was preparing to die because of the famine. What did Elijah do? He depended on God and he survived.
Just like Elijah, let us not be weakened when things and people around us are not dependable. Let us find our strength in knowing that we can always depend on God to overcome trials and tribulations.
God bless us all.
