“Yet God has made everything beautiful for its own time. He has planted eternity in the human heart, but even so, people cannot see the whole scope of God’s work from beginning to end.” (Ecclesiastes 3:11 NLT)
In Ecclesiastes 3:11, it says: God has made everything beautiful for its own time. Beautiful implies completeness. Whatever hard work we exert, if God is not acknowledged in everything we do, we will not experience full satisfaction in life.
This season of new normal requires a new beginning. Our actions must originate from a new center—being less busy and being more God sensitive.
Just from the start of January 2020,Taal volcano erupted. Then March came, the world has started to experience the pandemic caused by Corona Virus 19 up to present. Come November, we already experienced several typhoons and thousand families from Luzon became homeless.
I think it was a clear message from God that brings us to our knees to realize and surrender our priorities and fulfill God’s purpose in our lives. Surrendering is yielding to God’s purpose. Let us accept that this moment is “just the place we need to be” to learn what is most important right now. Realization is a very important part of our surrender, an inventory of the past to be corrected. Let’s remember how the prodigal son was (Luke 15:11-32) after his realization from all his sins – he asked for his father’s forgiveness.
The pandemic has thrown us into deep disorientation. Now, we have no choice but to let go of the old normal.
“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17)
