Despite how dark and ugly your past life may be, God will transform your horrible and sinful past to a lovely future with Jesus Christ. His love will be enough to change your life for the better. Sis. Aramina is a living proof of God’s amazing love to His people.
When Sis. Aramina was 24 years old, she suffered from an irregular heartbeat condition. For 20 long years, she feared her condition. It was a condition wherein she experiences a fast heart beat as if she was running. It was also accompanied by unusual tiredness, sweating, and stinging pain on her nerves. Her episodes lasted from five to almost 15 minutes. She had no idea why she was experiencing this from such a young age. She just attributed this condition to her continuous smoking. She sought for a hospital and her cardiologist advised her to quit smoking or to lessen her smoking habits. During that age, she was still healthy and strong. She was complacent. She did not care about her life back then. She did not grasp how important her life and purpose are in this world, so she continued on her vices because these made her look cool and made her popular amongst her LGBT peers. She grew old with her unpleasant lifestyle of sins and vices.
At 43 years old, her neighbor, Erly Gatdula, invited her to attend ExCEL service. During the ExCEL service, she knelt down at the feet of the Lord and asked Him to remove the pain and suffering that she was experiencing. When she earnestly approached the Lord, He saved her from her dark past. She was baptized, but being a new Christian, she was susceptible to fall and sin again.
Sis. Aramina was rushed to the hospital at the age of 44. It was only during that time that she learnt of her illness. She was diagnosed with Supraventricular Tachycardia (SVT) where having a 190-200 bpm can cause you an immediate cardiac arrest. She asked God, “Bakit kung kailan nagba-bible study at nabinyagan ako saka ko mararanasan ang ganito?”
In her search for an answer to her question, God gave her the verse, Hebrews 10:26-27:
“If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God.”
She realized that she has not fully surrendered to God. How will God give her healing and peace if, despite the forgiveness and freedom that Christ gave, she will continue to be imprisoned by her sin?
She sought to deepen her relationship with the Lord. There were a lot of struggles, but she overcame them by attending ExCEL services and prayers. With the help of the Holy Spirit, she can now see the plan that God had set for her life. On 2016, she surrendered everything to God—her weaknesses, fears and doubts. She started to minister. On 2018, she was a pioneer facilitator of the C2S 101 program under the Relationship Department. She then experienced a complete transformation.
It was only the power of Christ that healed her—body, mind, and soul. It was His love that allowed her to wholly turn away from her rotten past and receive a brand new life in Christ. Brothers and sisters, if any of you think that you are unredeemable, you are definitely wrong. Jesus Christ can rescue you from all your sins. He can save you from all your sufferings. You just only need to surrender and accept Him as your Lord and Savior. Just like the life of Sis. Aramina, He can turn your life around amazingly.
