God is Fighting for You! Hi! I am Patricia Anne Delica, 23, from Dance Ministry. I work in a bank as marketing assistant. It is indeed a wonderful experience to serve God, but it never comes easy.
It was year 2010 when I was diagnosed to have polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS) and hyperthyroidism due to proclatin-producing pituitary microadenoma. Micro adenomas are benign cysts (slow-growing tumors) that arise from cells in the pituitary gland. The doctor told me that this condition is hereditary but I believe that this illness cannot stop me from serving the Lord.
When I was still in high school, my parents would accompany me during the regular checkups and they did everything to support me and made sure I would be okay. I also started to join the ministry and served Him.
Two months ago, I felt something strange so I went to my doctor and he told me that my sickness has come back. When I was on my way home, I felt hopeless and very helpless. I asked God, “Lord, I am here serving You, isn’t that not enough? Why did it come back? I thought it was gone. I am tired of fighting this condition!”
I did not understand until I was reminded by this verse saying, “For My thoughts are not your thoughts and neither your ways are My ways”. Then that moment, I saw an L300 van passing by with this verse: Exodus 14:14 “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
God promised me that He will fight for me and I held on to that. I prayed, knelt and cried out everything to God through ExCEL service. After 4 days, the result of my CT-Scan was negative! Truly, If God is for us then who can be against us?
God provided everything. He continued to bless me because my work has covered all the expenses in laboratories, checkups and CT-Scan through my health card.
I am standing in front of everybody and encouraging you to trust in the Lord and hold on to your faith; that our tests in life can be turned into beautiful testimonies.
