Hi brothers and sisters! I am Sis. Merdelyn from the Young Adults Ministry.
I am here for I have witnessed God’s faithfulness to us, His children. I would like to share my story on how He moved in my life.
It is not an ordinary thing for a newly married couple to have a child. In our case, we are not young anymore just to sit here and there. We wanted to have a child and the words “stop praying” were not in my vocabulary.
Several months have passed, I felt dizziness everytime and I vomit when I eat something. We decided to go to the hospital. The doctor found out that my sugar and albumin level reached 8.4 g/dL above its normal range which is only 3-5 g/dL and these could affect my kidneys and worst, it could affect my pregnancy if ever. After taking a laboratory test, the doctor said I am diabetic. Regardless of the news, I continued to pray for my healing. “I know that God can change the doctor’s prognosis!”, I claimed. Pastors from COG Gentri also prayed for me. We did not miss any ExCEL service. Everytime I get a chance to sincerely talk to Him, I know that He hears my plea. I believe that God will send His miracle and heal me.
November of the same year, I went to the doctor for another check-up, hoping for a good result. At first, the nurse thought it was negative, but when I checked it, I saw two lines! I am more than grateful for an answered prayer!
But on my first trimester, I was worried for my baby. The doctors warned us that many complications would occur because of my past condition. They recommended me to see a diabetologist to maintain and regulate my meals. It was a bit hard on my part to restrict myself from the food I wanted to eat. However, I overcame it for my baby’s sake. After a month of monitoring, we became stable. My baby was okay. In fact, she was a Caesarian section baby.
On the 6th day of July, a blessing from the Lord named Kellyne Rapha was born. Everything was normal. No words could express how thankful I am to the Lord.
Indeed, God is faithful; His goodness and mercies never fail to amaze us. He is my healer and my great help in any season.
Allow me to share with you the Word of God. These are the wonderful promises of the Lord which I held on to in this journey of ours.
2 Chronicles 7:15 (NKJV) Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to prayer made in this place.
John 14:14 (NKJV) If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.
