I am Annie Lisay, 40 years old, from Project Management Team and I want to share how God stayed and became my partner from my personal experience. My husband and I happily married in 2007 and the Lord has blessed us with a healthy son on the same year. Afterwards, I was really expecting another child because it has been my dream to have a big family. Nine years had passed and yet there was still no sign of pregnancy. In 2016, I decided to consult an OB-Gyn, in which I surprisingly found out that I have ovarian dermoid cysts. Dermoid cysts are tumors that cannot be treated by medical operation. I almost broke down; I did not know how to react at that time. Based on the ultrasound results, both of my ovaries were positive for cyst. However, my left ovary had severe and larger cysts than the right one. Although the doctor explained that the cysts need surgical removal, I still tried to look for alternative ways and attended seminars in order to find a better solution. But to no avail; I did not succeed.
“Lord gusto ko pong Ikaw ang magpagaling sa akin. Kung gagaling man ako at hindi ang Iyong kabutihan ang maitataas, mas gugustuhin ko nalang po na huwag gumaling kung gan’on.” I prayed.
Surgical operation was not in my options because it was too expensive. After the diagnosis, I knelt and prayed every ExCEL service. Although I have work schedule on Saturdays, I tried my best to attend and have even a glimpse of an encounter with God, even when had I to file leave of absence at work just to attend ExCEL services.
After a year, I had my second consultation. The doctor told me that my left ovary was now normal. By the third consultation, my left ovary has been persistently normal!
Lord, I do not deserve this kind of love because I am not worthy enough. Still, I am blessed because I was able to share Your goodness through this experience. I must say that this God, whom I serve, is indeed a powerful God. The One who keeps His promises until the end. The Lord revealed to me that everything happens in His perfect time.
