Our speaker in this article had experienced an accident, inflicting his left eye while he was playing badminton.
As a short background, Troye Pangilinan is a 13 year-old boy who loves sports. He is a basketball player in their school. Last September 2019, Troye and his classmate played badminton in their school. While playing, his classmate did strike the shuttlecock strongly that it accidentally hit his left eye. Because of the impact, his left eye turned red and suddenly he couldn’t see anything. Last September 28, Troye and his family attended the ExCEL service. After the ExCEL service, they went to the hospital. The doctor said blood was formed in Troye’s left eye, that’s why the doctor gave him three medicines that he should take. After one week, they went back to the hospital for a follow-up check-up after they attended the ExCEL service. While the doctor was checking Troye’s left eye, he noticed that his situation is getting worse. The doctor said that he would need to operate Troye’s left eye immediately because if not, he would lose his vision. When they got home, Troye cried and his parents talked to him and said that they would send a request in having a second opinion.
On October 8, the doctor said that Troye’s eye pressure was at 40 which was very high because the average normal eye pressure is 0-20. Then the doctor talked to his parents. He didn’t know what they talked about. Troye’s mom called his dad through the phone and he approached and asked his mom why was she crying? And she told him it’s because of tears of joy. Troye was surprised that he saw his Dad. His Dad came back from work and he hugged him tightly because he didn’t know what the doctor said to his Mom. Later that night, Troye’s aunt and uncle visited him and he saw them crying. Then he approached his sister and asked her why they were crying, his sister told him that he had needed to be operated immediately because he would lose his sight. The next day, Troye’s brother was rushed to the hospital because he was having a fever for one week and the doctor said that it might be Dengue. Troye’s family prayed that his brother would be healed as well. When they got home, his mom hugged him and said that his brother was negative in having Dengue. They’re so blessed because the Lord heard their prayers. While they were on their way to the hospital, his sister was playing a worship song and they prayed that God would make a miracle that day.
After two hours of travel, they arrived at the hospital. While getting ready for the operation, they prayed harder to God. Until the doctor said that the blood did not reach the back of Troye’s left eye. Troye’s family gave thanks to the Lord because they knew He performed another miracle in their lives. God is really good. The second doctor checked Troye’s left eye pressure and it was normal. Then, the last doctor checked again and he prayed that they won’t need to operate. He was scared at that time until the doctor said that he doesn’t need to operate on Troye’s left eye. He was crying that time. Troye knew that God is there, and He performed a miracle in his life. Troye and his family were happy that day. The Lord also answered Troye’s prayer that his dad would go together with them here in the church every Sunday. They are so grateful that the Lord heard their prayers and performed great miracles in their lives.
