A pleasant morning to everyone. I am Carol and today you are about to here my story.
April 2019 was when it first started. I’ve experienced a severe headache. It was so painful that if I’m going to rate it from 1 to 10, surely it’s a 10. That’s how painful it was! Because of that, I was vomiting due to intense pain. Whenever I feel that painful experience, I will just cry out to God! I’m really talking to Him directly in prayer and asked Him to heal me. There were times that I will visit my mother’s room and ask her to pray for me since I couldn’t sleep because of that painful headache. So I went and consulted a doctor. The doctor said that because of my migraine history, I just needed to take pain relievers and vitamin B12. I take those medicines from time to time. But after the pain relievers lose their effect, the pain is back. The pain is too unbearable!
Last week of the month of June, I have experienced double vision in my eyesight that I couldn’t use both of my eyes. I can only use one. That means that I needed to cover either my left or right eye to see properly. So I consulted an ophthalmologist thinking that I have severe problems with my eyes. When they checked my eyes, they haven’t found any issues with it. Everything is normal they said. The doctor advised me to go back to my neurologist. Before I went back to my neurologist, I prayed to God saying; “Lord, isn’t it that the doctors You are using are instruments? Please help whoever the doctor that will examine me maybe to find what is really happening to me.” I couldn’t bear the pain anymore and would just keep on taking pain relievers. I can barely stand when we went back to my neurologist. The doctor said that I needed to have an MRI to diagnose me. So I accepted and the results came. They found out that there are 3 possible diseases I might have: Meningitis, Leptomeningeal, and Costromatic.
When the doctor saw the results of my diagnosis, I saw disappointment and sadness in my doctor’s face. I was with my sister when they encouraged us to undergo a lumbar tap procedure. The doctor said that the pressure in my brain is too high and if I’m going to take the procedure recommended, it’s going to be risky. They’re saying that the measure is needed not because my brain is healthy and it is not possible for me to go out of the operating room. When I heard this from the doctor, I felt so down and discouraged. I prayed and said to myself; “Lord, I will completely trust in You for I know that You are going to heal me.”
That was Friday, so that means I can attend ExCEL service the following day. During the ExCEL service, I was very blessed to hear a topic from Ptr. Anthony Velasco about doctors saying there is no hope. Even if our medical condition is hopeless, God can still twist negative things through His positive ways. All we just need to do is to trust in Him. The day after that, I was confined. I claimed this verse on that time. It says in Jeremiah 29:11 “For I know the plans I have for you. Plans to prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and future.” So I said in my prayer; “God, I know You are going to extend my life for I know that You have plans for me.”
After that I prayed about my double vision eyesight; “Can You also bring my eyesight back to normal Lord?” God is so amazing! He first healed my vision. While God is still at work healing me, at the same time the doctor is so happy about my eyes going back to normal. The doctor said that the procedure that I’m about to take will be less risky. After that, God never stopped taking care of me during the procedure of lumbar tap. During the procedure, the medical staff would require 5 cc of each bottle to be filled but the anesthesiologist refused. Instead, they just asked for 3 cc to ensure the safety of the patient and to avoid complications. God is so good that He ensures my safety! After the lumbar tap procedure, praise God for all of the results became negative! Glory to God for I was able to share this testimony to you!
Truly, we can count to the Lord for nothing is impossible with Him! He will fight for us! Whatever sickness you have, you can give it to God for His plan is to heal you!
