And the Lord said, “Here is a place by Me, and you shall stand on the rock. So it shall be, while My glory passes by, that I will put you in the cleft of the rock, and will cover you with My hand while I pass by. Then I will take away My hand, and you shall see My back; but My face shall not be seen.” (Exodus 33:21-23, NKJV)
The cleft of the rock is a place where we find shelter from harm and weather. This is where we find rest and refuge. When God put Moses in the cleft of the rock, it symbolized security. We are like helpless sheep without a shepherd.
When we obey His Word, seek His face and surrender our lives, we will experience His overwhelming presence. All our cares will be put to rest because the Real Rock is Jesus Christ.
Will you go in the cleft of the Rock?
