Most of the time, we fail in our Christian walk with God because we do not know how to listen to Him. Learning how to listen to God is important in our Christian life particularly in our spiritual growth.
The best example of a listening person in the Bible is Samuel (1 Samuel 3:7-8). When God first called out to him, Samuel did not recognize who was speaking. He assumed it was the priest Eli. Samuel had to learn how to recognize God’s voice to understand what God was saying to him. After years of spending time and walking closely with God, Samuel came to recognize His voice instantly. Samuel walked so closely with God that he never had to wonder what God wanted him to do. God gave him clear guidance every step of the way. As a result, God did great things in His nation through Samuel’s life.
There is no other way to learn how to identify God’s voice than to spend time talking to Him. Learn to listen to God so that you will never fail and that it may go well with you.
