Sometimes, even our trusted friends are nowhere to be found when we feel afraid and when we need their help and encouragement.
Most of the time, we choose to carry our burdens alone to avoid others who are already growing weary of us.
The Prophet Isaiah offered words of comfort, grounded in the fact that God is not like people. God’s wisdom is limitless, and He never grows weary nor tired. Instead, the Creator of the whole earth gives strength whenever we need it the most.
“Have you never heard? Have you never understood? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of all the earth. He never grows weak or weary. No one can measure the depths of His understanding. He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. (Isaiah 40:28-29 NLT)
God, with what’s happening around us, we tend to feel so worried and weary in body, mind, and heart. We need our strength to be renewed. God, please come to our aid.
