In every name, there is a meaning. And I believe our parents tediously did their assignment doing research, choosing THE name that would perfectly fit you and me. You truly possess a beautiful and powerful name!
Nathaniel- what a beautiful name indeed! It means, Gift of God. As a grownup man he must have been carrying this name proudly for a long time, desiring to live up to his given name. And more beautiful than the name itself was the scene when Jesus saw Nathaniel approaching and discerning that there was no deceit in him. I could just imagine Nathaniel so much elated hearing Jesus’ comment. This must have been very encouraging, affirming and humbling that for all those years, his hard work paid off and was obviously noticed not just by an ordinary man, but by Jesus Christ Himself.
