Many people have been suffering from the illness called paranoia. It is a mental condition characterized by delusions of persecution and many other delusive, harmful feelings.
This mental illness is also true to our spiritual condition in the way we look at God towards us. We think that God is holding a rod ready to whip us when we miss His holy standards.
If we suffer from this spiritual paranoia, we need to understand that God is a just God but at the same time a loving God. These two characteristics of the Lord collided against each other when man fell into sin.
God resolved this conflict through sending the Lord Jesus Christ. He died for our sins to justify us from sins through faith. This forgiveness provided by the Lord is the only cure for this spiritual paranoia.
Romans 5:1 tells us, “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
