We can read in the Bible several stories on how the mighty men of God had greatly sacrificed their lives for the Lord. They made life-changing decisions to serve the Lord with a commitment that were was no turning back without guarantee that all things would go well with them were persecuted and even died for preaching the Gospel.
Nowadays, some servants of the Lord have lost their secular jobs. Even their family and friends have turned away from them. Despite all of these. God never fails to notice all their sacrifices. This assures us how that He can smell the sweet aroma of our sacrifices for Him.
“And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters of father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life.” (Matthew 19:29, NIV)
Is there a part in our lives that requires sacrifices but we find ourselves holding back? I pray that we will choose to go whenever God takes us no matter what the cost will be. Life will surely be a memorable journey because we know that all of these will be a fragrant offering to our God.
