Allow me to share my thoughts this 2020 journey:
“Whatever we do, it is because Christ’s love controls us. Since we believe that Christ died for everyone, we also believe that we have all died to the old life we used to live. He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live to please themselves…”
How differently I think about Jesus now! When people are in Christ, they are totally new! With this newness comes a new ability to see others through the eyes of Jesus.
Let’s look at what that means:
It means that we do what we do because Christ’s love controls us. We are blessed by Jesus’ love, so we in turn, want others to share in that blessing as well.
We know what the purpose of each person’s life truly is: to live for Christ. A lot of suffering people in this time of crisis will not find rest, peace, hope, and genuine joy until they finally find our Savior.
So out of love, we want people to find Jesus! They are here to be brought into the family of God and the grace of the Lord. They are precious because Jesus died for them.Therefore, we become God’s ambassadors — to the hurting world.
