For 333 years (1565-1898), we were ruled by Spain. Then, for another 48 years (1898-1946), we were under the American colonial regime, which was cut off temporarily by a four-year Japanese rule (1941-1945).
Once again, we have been invaded, not by a visible human army, but by an unseen army of virus called COVID-19, which now appears to be ruling our lives.
These foreign rulers, whether visible or invisible, have affected our way of thinking and our way of life — our normal. But, one thing is for sure: these cannot change our ‘true normal’; that, of having believed in and saved by Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, have made us citizens of heaven, and that we should live as one.
As the Bible says in Philippians 3:20 ESV:
“But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ,”
