Good morning to all of you! I am Patricia Delica from Dance Ministry, and an attendee of Excel Service. At the same month last year, I was also here to testify God’s goodness — how He works together for good to those who loves Him.
In 2009, I was diagnosed of having hyperthyroidism, which means there is a lymph node in the thyroid gland. I thought I would undergo lifetime medications.
Before the Go Beyond event, I decided to stop taking my oral medications because I didn’t have enough money to support my needs. I was naughty. I also decided to resign from my work, despite of my dependence to my health card for my hospital transactions. Nevertheless, I do not have savings to support my medications.
Last February 2019, I had a check up with my doctor twice without any health card. Yet the Lord said to not allow these financial hardship to limit His work in my life, trust Him whole-heartedly and He will provide abundantly. Yes, God did.
During my check up, my doctor asked me to set the date of my operation because I have this disease for a decade. I was stunned and sorrowful when I heard it. During that time, I was all by myself who went to the hospital. I had thought that I have no work nor savings then I was suffering from a disease. Then, I need to undergo an operation. At that moment, I gave up and decided to undergo the surgery without giving notice to my parents. When I went home, I told Marj, my younger sister, about my decision because I gave up. She reprimanded me and told me that we are still praying for this battle to be conquered to the Lord. I strongly felt her words. God did not ask me to give up but to surrender. So I prayed and cried for all these things before Him. I clinged and surrendered everything to the Lord.
After a week, I underwent laboratory testing in preparation for my surgery. During the checking of results, the doctor told me that my results were very good. After one week of crying and praying, God did an amazing thing in my life. He healed me even I haven’t taking my medicines. Moreover, even I did not tell about my adverse actions, I asked to the doctor if I would still continue to take medications. He positively responded because of the good results.
Indeed, the Lord is a miracle-working God. I am standing here as a living testimony of God’s healing. He also blessed me with my new work in a good company. I have become victorious because He is with me in this battle. I truly believe that there is no victory if there is nothing to fight against with. So, to anyone who wants to be a conqueror, be prepared to the battles of life. God should be the strength of our heart because pain is real. Struggle is real, even sickness. Yet God is real as well. You have to seek Him earnestly. You should trust and pray to Him today because He will fight for you. Thank you!
