“Let both grow together until the harvest. At that time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.” (Matthew 13:30, NIV)
At times when we are discouraged, we tend to think that God must have forgotten us. The world we live in will tell us to give up and return to our sinful ways. But from this passage, Jesus tells us that His children are the wheat and those who follow this world pattern are the weeds. They would grow together, but the Lord knows that as wheat, we can overcome this world and its patterns can never destroy us. God knows that the weeds will soon be tied in bundles and burned. The wheat, however, will remain standing if they continue trusting in the Lord.
Therefore my friend, do not be discouraged. God knows your battles and if you put your trust in Him, you will be able to overcome.
Wheat like you,
